Our Cast of Characters

Skarab

The Mansect Rebels are led by Skarab, a good-hearted and upstanding Mansect whose grandfather, Grandaddy Longlegs, invented Bugbots when Skarab was just a grub.

Before the war, he was Chief Bugbot Inspector of Arthropoda. When Beetlemania began infecting Bugbots, causing worldwide chaos and destruction, Skarab was thrust into this leadership role.

The Mansect Rebels

The Mansect Rebels are the small band of friends who have rallied around Skarab in his battle with the forces of The Weevil Legion under the iron hand (or claw) of Skarab's nemesis, The Exalted Grandragonfly. They're the ones he depends on when the going gets tough, even though it's hard to imagine anything being too tough for the big lug!

The Weevil Legions fall under the sway of the Exalted Grandragonfly, also known from his college days as "Biff". He and Skarab were best chums as schoolmates at Mansect Tech, "Home of the Hoppers". They had a falling out over Midge Lacewing, but also differed over the "Human question".

Biff was a respected if feared Captain of Industry, until Beetlemania disrupted his Weevil Snax factories("The Snacks with Perfect Crunch!").

In a naked power grab (or was it a misguided attempt to save lives?), he began forcibly confiscating Bugbots. This sparked The Mansect Rebellion!
